What is an Ikkos Consultation?
An Ikkos Consultation provides a detailed, horse-centric assessment of bit and bridle fit. Each session lasts up to 90 minutes and focuses on one complete bit and bridle setup to ensure nothing is rushed and every detail is thoroughly evaluated. We will assess your current equipment, review your horse’s oral and head conformation, and trial suitable alternative bits and/or bridle components to improve comfort, communication, and performance.
If riding is appropriate, please be prepared to ride for up to 30 minutes. For horses not in ridden work, the consultation can be completed through in-hand or lunge assessment.
I carry a large range of bridle brands including EvoEquine, Shires, Premier Equine, Henry James, Equipe, Amerigo, Bridle2Fit, Trust Bridles, Stubben & Horsemanship Saddlery UK, along with a large selection of bits from Sprenger, Expert Bits, Fager, Bomber, Trust Bits, Aster, Bomber Bits, BR Bits, Neue Schule, Myler Toklat, Diddy Bits and many more.
For double bridles & Control Bits, the first session will focus on the mouthpiece/snaffle/bridoon and bridle fit, with a follow-up scheduled for the additional control or Weymouth selection once comfort and acceptance and understanding is confirmed.
A Small Friendly Note: 😊 while many riders have a significant bridle collection, please select one bridle you would most like us to review. If you have multiple bridle parts like extra nosebands, please ensure they are separated. The consultation is focused and structured and although I love a tack room tidy session more than most people, sadly reorganising your entire bridle collection isn’t included in the service!
Booking & Pricing
Ikkos Consultation Fee: £50.00 for an AB postcode area, £60.00 for a non AB postcode
Once your consultation request has been received, I will contact you to arrange a suitable date and confirm location details.
